Becoming a Christian is as easy as ABC!
Admit nobody is perfect, and the Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Sin is anything that we think, say, or do, that breaks God’s law. No one is good enough to earn heaven on their own. You need to admit that you have sinned, that you need a Savior and are willing to turn from your sins.
Believe that Christ died and rose again so that you could be saved.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” —John 3:16
The Bible tells us that God loved you so much that He was willing to let His son die in your place! Because Jesus took your place, you can have eternal life!
Confess that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” —Romans 10:9–10
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. — Romans 10:13
We must personally pray and ask God to forgive us, not because we have earned it, but because Jesus paid our debt.
